Another hot day in Port Douglas 33°C. as there is a Sunday market in town, we decided to have a look around it. Also on Sunday there is a little steam train that operates down to the Marina Mirage station in Port Douglas. So the four of us took the "Ballyhooley" train down to town.
Below is an official photo of "Ballyhooley" railway in action, from their web site (I'm getting better at this blogging lark)
Travelling down on the train, through the mango forest.
At the end of the line, turning "Bundy" around (Speedy is the green engine)
The Marina at the "end of the line" (Traveling Wilburys song)
We spent an hour or so looking around the market and resisted buying anything. But as it was hot, Pat and I grabbed a beer as we walked back into town.
After some lunch we booked a trip to ' Kuranda" for tomorrow. We are going on a skyrail over the rain forest and on a train passing gorges and water falls (sounds great).
We finished of the day with a meal in Dorothy and Liz's apartment, each apartment has dressing gowns for their guests. Our Liz is modelling one for us, as you can see below. She looks like a boxer, they are her own slippers.
Nice dressing gown Liz 💪💪💪
