Another day of travelling to get up to Auckland for our flight tomorrow to California.
Again a rainy day, although the rain was a bit stop start, but we can't complain, as this is only the second rainy day while we have been away for 40 days. We have had an odd shower in this time, but yesterdsy and today, it is rain.
We called for lunch in Tirua, at a cafe called "bugger" (no photo), but they do have some big sheep there.
As we were going to Auckland I had arranged to call in and see my cousin, Dave Rimmer and his wife Carolyn, who's home we would pass on the way to Auckland.
Pat had not met Dave or Carolyn before and Liz and I had not seen Dave since he emigrated to New Zealand 34 years ago. And we (Liz and I) had never met Carolyn, although she had been with Dave for 16 years or so.
We all had a great afternoon, catching up on family affairs and having a general chat.
But all to soon, we have to be on our way.
Our hotel was close to the centre of Auckland.
