As we need to be at the Kohiahia car park at 13:00hrs for our coach pick up. We agreed to leave HEAPHY HUT at 7:00. Again most of the group left earlier, around 6:45. We: Wendy, Tom, Sue and I left at 7:00.

Then back next to the Tasman sea, along Nettle beach

Then arrived at KATIPO CREEK SHELTER for a break

Great effort by everyone. A fantastic adventure for the last 5 days, everyone had a great time.
We then had a 6hr drive back to the YHA in Nelson, with a 30min break in Westport, for a drink and a bite to eat. When we got back to the YHA we had a quick shower and a change of cloaths, before going out for a celebrationary meal and a drink or two (the first for 5 days).
Next morning most people were leaving on the 8:00hr bus.
