After saying good bye to the my Heaphy Track Tramping partners I left the YHA and met up with Pat, Liz and Dorothy for our drive to Picton for the 14:15 ferry to Washington.
On our way to Picton we got a phone call from Nyge Rimmer, the son of my cousin's (Dave). Unfortunately we were unable to meet up in Nelson, Nyge lives in Nelson suburbs, but we had a good chat on the phone.
Leaving Picton on the ferry, I met Ron and Liz from the treck.
Passing a cruise liner as we come into Wellington.
Just one night in Welington, so we picked up our car and booked into our hotel before our evening meal.
